Caleb and I have been working together over the last few weeks on the beginnings of my 2010 training program. This first phase in my training has gone by quickly. After a short recovery week following the California International Marathon, I started to ramp up the mileage again. Getting back into it was easy at first with light mileage weeks supplemented by lots of Telemark Skiing. Then January hit and it was a few weeks of go time. Caleb had me running fast intervals (faster that I’ve done in a year or so), and higher mileage weeks. I hung in there, and it was tough (I’m fully aware that it’s going to get harder too…).
This weekend marks the first race of Plan Masland! Over the last few days, Caleb has been pumping me full of ideas about how to eat, how to rest, and how to run this 1/2 marathon. This morning we sat down and talked about the course, the training, and what to do on Sunday.
